Crisis Intervention Conference
Earlybird Ends May 13!
The Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board is a national leader in support of crisis intervention teams. This conference will bring together law enforcement personnel, consumers and their family, health care professionals, advocates, faith community members, educators, researchers, and others. The bi-annual conference focuses on aspects of crisis intervention and law enforcement response, along with officer safety and wellness.
Jack is a trained mediator, a licensed counselor, a board certified expert in traumatic stress (by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress), and a certified instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). Before embarking on his successful consulting career, Jack spent twenty years with the Tucson Police Department, retiring as Captain.
Kevin Hines is a storyteller at heart. He is a best-selling author, global public speaker, and award winning documentary filmmaker. In 2000, Kevin attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Many factors contributed to his miraculous survival including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived. Kevin now travels the world sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness and the ability to survive pain with true resilience.
Clarke and Tracie Paris
Creators of the Winning the Battle Seminar, Clarke and Tracie Paris want to bridge the gap that exists between law enforcement officers and the help that is currently provided by their respective agencies. Clarke is the Creator/Producer of the award winning documentary film on police stress/suicide, “The Pain Behind the Badge”. A veteran of law enforcement, Clarke retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and Tracie is a Registered Nurse.
TERRY G. HILLARD
Terry Hillard is a distinguished law enforcement leader. For more than hree decades, Hillard protected the citizens of Chicago, including a notable tenure as Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department. Hillard is a leader among those that speak out about police officer suicide. He continues to be an advocate for law enforcement
As a San Antonio police officer for 13 years, Joseph is one of the original members of the mental health unit and has been directly involved with making it a nationally recognized program. He is the primary instructor on mental health for the department and conducts tailored trainings to first responders around the country. Most recently he was featured in an award-winning documentary on mental health, Ernie & Joe – out later this year.

This event will bring together law enforcement officers, correctional staff, CIT trained professionals, community resources, consumers, and other interested stakeholders to discuss CIT program development, best practices, and other relevant information.

Accepted payments include Credit Card and PayPal. Group rates may be placed on a purchase order and paid by check. Registrations paid by check must be paid in full before the conference begins.
Registrations may be transferred to another person in your organization by written request through May 13, 2019. Email the request to firstname.lastname@example.org; a confirmation will be sent with 3 business days.
Refunds & Cancellations
Paid registrants will be reimbursed 50% of the registration fee if the cancellation is received on or before May 20, 2019. Registrations canceled after this date will not be reimbursed.
Unpaid registrations canceled on or before May 20, 2019 will be assessed 50% of the registration fee.
Registrants with unpaid registration fees (pay by check) who are no-shows will be assessed the full registration fee.
